About Commonwealth Training and Consulting

This firm has gone through many transformations. Commonwealth Training and Consulting Africa is a subsidiary of Commonwealth Institute of Management and Technology. Commonwealth Institute of Management and Technology was first established in Swaziland in 2002 and then in 2014 its head office was moved from Manzini Swaziland to Arusha Tanzania. Since the firm was founded, close to 20 years ago, all the visions that were collaboratively set by management and staff focused on providing the firm’s clients across the Sub Saharan Africa with quality training and consulting products. Despite the tumultuous financial crises in the region together with COVID 19 pandemic, Commonwealth TCA’s quality products, steadfast leadership, and loyal clientele ensured that all set visions were achieved, if not surpassed.

On behalf of my team, I want to thank you for your trust and loyalty shown for over 25 years. In 2022, many of you participated in our seminars and expressed your satisfaction towards our company. 

Commonwealth TCA continues its mission to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency in the management of development projects and generally increases the performance of public and para-public institutions. 

All our experienced consultants share their knowledge with you and make you benefit from their expertise. Throughout the training, the emphasis is on practice and the acquisition of tools and immediately applicable methodologies. Our varied training offer includes modules specifically developed to meet the needs of your administration, in compliance with the rules and requirements of donor agencies. 

Commonwealth TCA prides itself on unparalleled customer service. We pay attention not only to the quality of our training but we also cherish the relationship with our customers. Our coordinators and their administrative and logistics staff accompany you from the very beginning when you first contact us and all the way through the registration process, the training and until your departure. 

Because we are aware of the fact that training budgets decrease whereas capacity building needs become higher, we have decided to lower our tuition fees.  Moreover we are strengthening our incentives:

  • We apply special rates for group registrations ;
  • We offer increased benefits for our participants;

The first of these core values is Mastery.

Commonwealth TCA is quite selective when it comes to hiring team members, at any level. Although talent and expertise permeate the market, finding a subject matter expert who is competent in making subject matter experts out of others is not an easy feat. That is Commonwealth TC’s definition of Mastery; for what good is it to master a subject if one cannot pass this mastery to others? At Commonwealth TC, we demand from our experts to be masters in their fields and masters in developing others as well.

The second core value is Excellence.

Ever since the firm was founded, Excellence, in one form or another, was part of its credo. We were industry pioneers on many training fronts and we will continue our pursuit of innovation and creativity to ensure we stay aligned with our progressive clients. Personally, I don’t know of any training firm in the region who is as reliable as we are. I realize it is a bold statement to make but Commonwealth TCA employs the highest number of full time subject matter experts in this region. We insist on this criterion when we hire because we know that freelancers and part-time staff, despite their cost effectiveness, cannot be continuously relied upon whenever our clients need them because they have their own agendas and plans. Our permanent professionals, on the other hand, are always at our clients' service. This is what sets us apart from the rest and makes us the most reliable firm in the industry. Our clients have relied on us for decades. Our reliability will ensure they continue to do so.

Client-Centricity is our last and most important core value.
