Contract Monitoring and Disbursement Management

INTRODUCTION

This is an integrated course that combines the important elements of contract management and financial disbursement principles and practices. In addition some of the key challenges in disbursement and contract management will be examined from the context of a project recipient on one hand and the development partners on the other

HOW PARTICIPANTS WILL BENEFIT

At the end of the course participants will be able to:-

  • Examine the different formats that development partners favor for disbursement of the financial and other resources they contribute;
  • Explain the critical relationships between development partner and recipient/country;
  • Identify and analyse contract risks and mitigation options available for consideration;
  • Integrate contract monitoring and disbursement management for value adding policy making in respect of the project under consideration;
  • Internalize methods, techniques and tools for project control.

  • Roles and responsibilities of contraction parties;
  • Disbursement policy development;
  • Disbursement tracking tools and methods;

Financial monitoring, reports and contract close-out.
